    new suse install need wireless help!

    ive installed suse 10.2 on my hp dv6000 laptop. ive found that it has a dell 1390 wireless card. ive installed ndiswrapper through yast. and downloaded the driver (R151517.EXE). im stuck here. ive been searching all day but im stuck. i actually removed vista from this machine because i couldnt stand it anymore. if i could just get this working id be set with linux!

    can anyone help

    What you want is the *.inf and *.sys file and not the *.exe. You can extract .inf and .sys from the .exe using winrar or anything similar

    i got it!!!

    so i got the wireless card up and running. I am actually connected to my router but not getting to the net. it works wired through router. is there something i need to do to get setup first?

    You probably don't get an IP from your router. Post the output of "ifconfig", run as root.
