Need Help in installing my DWL-120 in SUSE 10

Hi,

I just installed SUSE 10 as part of a dual boot with windows xp. I am using Dlink DWL-120 and it works well with XP, however, I can't get it work in Linux. I am a 'really' newbie using Linux so I need a real step by step assistance on how to have this work so I could be connected to the internet.

You'll want to use the prism2_usb driver. I believe that one of the wireless chipsets available by default in YaST is Prism2, just select "USB" for the type of card.

How will I get the driver? at which website?

I believe it's included with SuSe. Check in YaST to see.

I'm doing this off the top of my head, so there may be some mistakes.

In YaST, go to Network Devices, then Network Card. Click on 'Add', and change the 'Ethernet' to 'Wireless'. To select the driver, there should be a 'Select From List' button - this is where you have the option to use prism2_usb.

Or you can try with ndiswrapper. There is a list of cards that are known to work with ndiswrapper. ndiswrapper wraps the Windows drivers for use in Linux.
