GDM problem in ubuntu 7.10
Hey guys ,
Anyone have the following problem .
if you boot to Ubtuntu but without logging in and then try to reboot or shutdown the machine from GDM , GDM is not turning off !!! and it's trying to restart itself on chvt 7,
Well other distro have notice this problem , the Arch build of gnome 2.20.1 have the problem .
Let me know please if someone have (or don't ) this problem .

No it's not a logout , if the user is already logged in and he restart/shut-down no problem but while trying to restart from the GDM menu the problem appear and this is a serious problem have a look to this thread FS#8125 : GDM doesnt shutdown properly
also i saw the same problem in ubuntu 7.10 ( i mean GDM 2.20 ) , i have the problem in my own compiled gnome 2.20 under slackware but well noboday cares , so this has to be confirmed if it's a bug or it's a incomplete shutting down scripts !!!
