Disable Middle Mouse Button Pasting?

O.k., I've googled up and down the internet for this one, and all that I can find is people complaining about it and others telling them how stupid they are for not getting used to it. There were very few actual solutions put forth, and the one that was suggested did nothing for the problem. I want to disable the way X pastes whatever's on my clipboard when I press the third mouse button. This is due to the fact that I don't actually HAVE a third mouse button on my laptop, all I have to do is press it in the wrong place on the mousepad for a short amount of time (also applies to old very touchsensitive mousebuttons). This is VERY annoying while you're trying to program something as you have random bursts of text appearing without realizing it. Please don't just tell me to just to "Get used to it" because this is *linux* after all, and it's hard to believe they would include a possible Microsoft "Feature" without giving you the choice *somewhere* to turn it off. Please help me, I HATE this fast-paste option!

Did you ever manipulate xorg.conf to disable the touchpad? Or are you saying you want the touchpad still for left-clicks?

I tend to disable touchpad clicking as the first thing when I have a touchpad.
