| Wubi - Some basic questions Hi,
I am new to Linux and want to install it on my windows laptop. I heard about this WUBI distribution version of Ubuntu and want to find out more about it.
The concept is great and if it prevents me from having to go and partition my hard drive - then great - as I know that partitioning can be tricky and Who wants to screw up their PC..right!!
I know the WUBI setup is an OS running inside some sort of file on your windows. But can I install eclipse, mysql servers, and all other types of apps in WUBI Ubuntu. Is it a really good alternative or is it more a handy test to see if you like Ubuntu? Would the old LiveCD install be a better solution down the road, especially if you wanted to do some Development.
