[SOLVED] Two Hard Drives

Hi
I have a pc with two hard drives of the same type and size, the one contains windows and files i need and the other is empty. I want to install ubuntu on the second but in the "prepare disk space" step of the installation they appear to me almost the same. The only difference is that the one is named SCSI (0,0,0) sda and the other SCSI (0,1,0) sdb. How can I know which is the empty one?
Thanks

When you boot using the Ubuntu live disc, start a terminal and run the command
Code:
sudo fdisk -l
That should show info about both disks as well as the partitions on the disk. Hopefully this info will help you.

Its difficult to tell which one has Windows installed on it because you formatted both with NTFS. Run the command
Code:
df -h
The one with the smallest percentage of used space is most likely the one that has Windows and your files (if you are positive that one of the disks is empty).
