this is my first post. i'm trying to use ndiswrapper to get my wifi working but i can't seem to get the damn rtl8180 driver blacklisted. edited /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and shutdown several times but it keeps showing up. any help would be greatly appreciated.

new problem

i switched wifi cards. i happen to have two cards and wouldn't ya know they both have unsupported chipsets...hence the handle. anyway i switched to a broadcom card and blacklisted the driver but now i get an error when i try to install the driver with ndiswrapper
~~couldn't copy /driver/9X/LSBCMNDS.inf at /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper line 135

i figured installing ndiswrapper from synaptic didn't work somehow do i unstalled and tried to compile from source but then i get another error

make: ***no rule to make target

tried ./configure first but it tells me ./configure is not a directory

damn i'm lost. somebody toss a newbie a bone please. thanks.
