| [SOLVED] Dual-boot keyboard problem Hello All,
Have a problem and I would appreciate some Help.
Just installed Ubuntu 7.10 from a downloaded/burned-to-CD disc onto a working XP with the idea of having a duel boot system. Followed the instructions and partitioned the 80 Gig Hard-drive 50/50. Ubuntu works fine.
However, when I restart and get to the list where I can select which system to boot, the keyboard up/down (& Pg Up/Pg Dn) keys don't work! So am unable to select. The system continues after a default time and boots into Ubuntu. The keys work fine in Ubuntu and did in XP.
I'm fairly new to computing as you can probably guess by my terminology, and I think I've probably missed out a critical stage or two in the installation process. The BIOS is set to boot first to CD. I have tried to get XP to boot from the original XP disc but this is ignored and the only thing I can run is Ubuntu.
I like what I've seen of Linux so far and prefer it to Windows, but I have a couple of Applications which I need Windows for.
