I was wondering if there was a utility or such, to scan the Ubuntu partition to ensure there are no bad-a$$ viruses or trojans or others.

You can check out ClamAV:

Clam AntiVirus

I've never used it, but it's fairly popular among Linux users that feel like they need AV protection.

I can't vouch for any of them since I've never used any of them, or even used an AV app under Linux at all for that matter.
