Actually, yes. I sometimes use Opera (yuck!) and I have exactly the same problem.

I will. Can it be apt-got? Or is there a .deb package? I'm on Ubuntu right now and downloading the source package...

There is a tar.gz (bz2?) that has a static binary. You can just drop that into your .mozilla I think

Okay, my mistake. I assumed it was a source package. It was just the usual generic installer. It's installed now so I'll check it out. Any particular pages you want me to try?

Not really...I guess YouTube would be the obvious one. Anything that usually crashes it

To crash Firefox, I'll go to Youtube and jump from video to video without waiting for the previous one to end. Usually works within a minute. I just did that with Flash 10 and it didn't phase it. It's still working without crashing.

Hmmmm interesting....

Did you do the full install? I kinda cheated and just renamed the libflashplayer.so in my .mozilla directory. Maybe I should remove the flash package, or at least replace the systemwide binary.

Can't expect to test it if I didn't install it correctly
