Question Sharing Windows Files with my Kububtu (VMW)

Hi!
Can some one help me?
I installed Kubuntu 7.10 in a Virtual Machine (VMW) because I recently have Internet Iand I hate Viruses so my idea was to use my Kubuntu distro to do everything regarding internet, but I need to do stuff with my Windows files and I will love to see my files without going back to Windows and copying them to a Pen drive and then again to the linux desktop.

Someone told me thta I can use Samba to see my Windows files, but I dont know how to install this, what to download or things like that!

Please help! Thanks

instead of making a samba server on your linux box,
just make a share on your windows with read/write permissions
and install samaba-client and samba-common packages
so you can access the windows share from linux

Hi b2wild!
Ok, i'm like ???? What??? Ok I know how to share folders in Windows but to be seen by people in the same network. This means that I have to set up the same network in Kubuntu? (how?)

And How can I installa a samba-client and samba-common packages. Should I download samba client for Kubuntu? Which is tha best and lighter? Cause I olnly have 8 GB en HD (Virtual)

Thnks for your help!!
