| Hows 9.10 stability after beta?? I installed 9.10 over 9.04 when it was beta, all was good but i had that pesky DSL (ppoe) bug that would keep me from connecting to the internet. Obviously, without internet i had no idea how to fix the problem, so it was back to 9.04 for me. now the 'stable' release is out are these issues fixed? How about the intel video drivers? on 9.04 i had to manually fall back onto the old drivers because video performance was awful (and video players would simply crash trying to load a video) I really don't want to upgrade until a few of these major issues have been fixed.....any info on these bugs? |

| I was running an upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 which was ok. I did a fresh install of the full release and I have been real happy with it. I had some nvidia issues in the beta that are gone with 9.10 stable. As far as your issues go I would search the ubuntu forums and launchpad to see if your issues have been addressed or resolved.
cheers
UPDATE: below is an web address of an article about others having issues with 9.10, a differnt experience than I have had.

| Why don't you go buy a $25 PPPOE router? There's a ton of benefits, including not having to worry if your OS has an issue with PPPOE. |

| I've been running 9.10 since Alpha 2 on a daily machine and haven't had any serious issues. Intel card works fine, internet works solidly, no issues to mention really

| I'm running the 64 bit and the only issue I have found so far is that occasionally Firefox won't show flash videos until it is restarted. I don't know if this is an Ubuntu, Firefox, Flash, NVidia or Compiz problem but it has afflicted every 64 bit Ubuntu I have ever tried.

| flash is horrid in ubuntu. i don't know if it is lack of support on adobe's behalf or my intel drivers, but watching a regular video runs my cpu about 40-60 % and full screen its pegged at 100% usage and the video is choppy (pentium four 3.0 ghz 1.5 gb ram, intel on-board graphics) I also can not run linux based games that ran well under windows when i got this machine (sauerbraten gets 3 fps in windows it got 25-35 fps) |

I had horrible issues with Flash in 9.04 (as well as Fedora, Mint, and PCLOS) but I'm finding 9.10 to be MUCH better.
I have an ATI video card, but older ATI chipsets are in a similar situation as alot of the Intel chipsets as far as drivers, so it doesn't surprise me that you might have issues with some games.
All of that being said, I spent many hours working on Flash issues in 9.04 and could probably give you some pointers if you're interested in tweaking. |

I've only been using Xubuntu for about a month and even before that with Windows, I didn't do upgrades, only fresh installs. |
