If your monitor is correctly configured to the maximum resolution you can use the krandr applet as a tray icon to quickly switch resolution. You can also use CTRL,ALT and the +/- signs from your number pad to increase/decrease resolution to the configured settings in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

where can i find krandr applet?
i went to xorg.conf - my screen is set 24, but this number include a lot of resolution, how can i change it?

You could just try running 'krandr' in a terminal. If you don't have it (it should already be in kdebase) you can install it using
Code:apt-get install krandr
