Far easier to install deb package in the first place http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=217009 . Shouldn't be any need to mess about converting suse rpms to deb packages unless it's obscure stuff. In addition to devils_casper's link see this about installing software in ubuntu using apt-get/synaptic https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallingSoftware
