    Firefox/Swiftfox slow down

I am using Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 LTS and upgraded Firefox and Swiftfox to version 1.5.0.6 Since doing so Swiftfox has slowed to a similar speed as Firefox before the upgrade. Any ideas as to why it has slowed down and any remedies. On dial up it is relevant.

    disabling ipv6

Ipv6 (IP version 6) can be disabled in Firefox by typing:
about:config in the address bar of Firefox, and then, in the filter bar, type ipv6. Then double click on the line that shows upp, which will set ipv6 disable to TRUE.
In Windows it seems to speed up FF. In Ubuntu it did nothing for me.... ;-(

Bingo! I couldn't have said it better myself..I did notice a difference in Ubuntu in terms of speed improvement. (faster page loads). Clearing the cache helps too for some sites..
