check my own ip address in kubuntu

i need to know my own ip address

i found only one site http://www.digdns.net , it is ok but i need another one

does anyone knows of such a site ??

Which IP address are you talking about? local ip or wan/internet IP ?

sudo ifconfig
will give you your ip address. If you want to know more about your ip run

exactly what Vergil83 stated is right. You will probably be looking for the address associated with eth0 but this could be different depending on your machine.
Also you can check out
www.mywanip.com


to get your publicly usable ip address.
