Question Beryl white cube...

i have my Nvidia drivers installed and working! i've installed Beryl and it kind of works. i start it up and can turn the 3D cube around but all of the desktops are white (no lines or anything). Spots on the cube that are not a desktop are the "Beryl Logo Diamonds". However if i open windows before i start Beryl i can see a 3D white outline of the window when i turn the cube to another desktop. So i know that the desktops are there. i don't know exactly why no detail is showing up.

i've read up on this and there is one solution that has been working for people but it has not changed anything for me.

Solution (but doesn't work for me):
Code:
$ beryl-manager --no-force-window-manager

and then:
Code:
$ beryl-xgl --use-copy
