OpenOffice 2.2 for Edgy

Since my OO 2.0.4 crashes during image manipulation I would like to upgrade or change to OO 2.2. Is it possibile to do that? I don't want to switch to Feisty. I need some repositories for that if existed. Thanks in advance!

I've tried already to add feisty repositories, but I had a conflict with libc6, as the Edgy uses older version than it is required with packages for Feisty. If I compiled it from source packages shall this be a problem?

Formerly I've used the same crippled version (2.0.4) under Suse, and I've downloaded that one the same way, and realized that the packages for Linux were *.rpm packages, how can I use the latter if they RPM's too?
