    can i have cd or dvd of all softwares ?is ist possible

    hi .;;;;

    can i have a cd or dvd of complete softwares of ubuntu 7.10 and latest updates
    so that i dont need a internet connection to install any softwares like wine ,xmms players .compizfusion etc

    any links really available ? if so how to install them ?

    You can use AptonCD to download packages in machine having internet access and install those on other machine.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    You might look at something like Ubuntu "Ultimate Edition". It's Ubuntu, but it comes on a DVD and has a considerable amount of software that isn't included in the default Ubuntu CD.

    One note however: Compiz Fusion should already be installed by default on Ubuntu 7.10. It isn't activated by default, but it is installed. You need proper 3D drivers to take advantage of it.

    I have all the software from the Debian repositories on three DVDs. They came with a Linux magazine.

    hey its really cool i mean ultimate edition but the problrm is can we install the ubuntu without geting live cd features its dam slow any command so that i can I install the ubuntu 1.7 ultimate edition without using GUI if possible

    you could use the ubuntu alternate cd to install this uses a text installer same as debian and then you could add the ultimate discs to your apt list(ubuntu usually asks this)
