    Kubuntu Updates

    Hey all new user here.
When I start my Kubuntu I get icon for adept updates.
How many of these 148 updates do I actually need.
The kids grew up and moved away, the dog passed on a while ago. It's just me and my wife thought I'd give Kubuntu a try. It's like a hobby, gives me something to do. I LIKE IT.

    Welcome to the forums, bk33!

That means there are 148 packages on your machine that there is a newer package ready and waiting to be installed. You don't have to update any of them if you don't want to do so. Otherwise, just update the packages you want to update, or you can update all of them if you prefer.

Sometimes, very large updates might break a system. The only way to find out about your own setup is to give it a go and see what happens.

Hope you continue to have fun with Linux.

Yeah, you'll probably be just fine updating all of them if you choose to do so.

Let us know how it goes.
