    Okay I have returned.....

    Adding Xinerama broke X -- which makes sense to me.... I only have one Screen, one Device, and one Monitor section..... am I wrong?

    Also I added it as Option "Xinerama" "True" and not a "1"

    Is that correct or should I try your version too?

    Yeah your right you need to have two devices in xorg for it two use xinrama but for the record you can use either 1 or true. hmm Im not really sure where to go from here I have never really had much trouble getting X to run multiple displays but always use nvidia cards.
    Hopefully some one will come in with some more info for you who has had more experience with ATI cards.
