    install mysql


    hi everyone!
    i'm trying to install mysql usung ubuntu via terminal.
    i believe i installed it but when i;m trying to create a new database(mysqladmin create <dbname>), i get this error [ bash: syntax error near unexpected token "newline" ]
    can anyone help me?

    1.make sure you had start the service of your mysql-server,
    typed in terminal:
    Code:
    /etc/init.d/mysql start
    2.Type this command in your terminal :
    Code:
    mysql -u root -p
    in case you want to log in with user root with password

    3.in mysql, create new database by command :
    Code:
    CREATE DATABASE db_name;
    Remember that the name database must have no space;use underscore instead of space
