    installing clonezilla or ghost4linux

    Hey All,
I'm new to the forums and new to linux. I just installed linux on my vmware server yesterday. I'm still trying to figure a few things out, but right now this is the thing I cant figure out. I'm running Linux Ubunutu Desktop, and I've been trying to install Ghost4linux and Clonezilla. I don't get what I'm not doing right. Ghost4linux when I download it and then extract it gives me an error message: "An error occurred while extracting files" , and it wont extract all the files. What's going wrong here. I'm following the following userguide

How to install ANYTHING in Ubuntu!

    installing package sourcecode part.

Clonezilla I have no idea how to install cuz it's an iso file. I tried extracting it but then no clue of how to continue. I ve searched google and forums, and found nothing that has helped me. On the ubuntu forums can't find any help either. Thanks for any help in advance.

    Welcome to the forums!

I think they are both meant to be run from a CD/DVD drive. You'll need to burn the ISO file to the blank disk as an image:

    re:

thank you for that. I thought it was possible to mount it and then run it as a program. forgot that in order to run a ghost program you have to boot it from a cd.

    thanks for the help
