    tata indicom dialer on linux ubuntu 8.04


    i just installed Ubuntu on my PC having vista....
    its great...
    infact its much better that windows....
    the problem is that i am having tat indicom dialer with which i go for surfing....
    how can i install that in linux
    i did the following

    first sudo wvdialconf
    then edited the config file wvdial.conf with the following

    [Dialer Defaults]
    Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
    Baud = 460800
    Init1 = ATZ
    Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2
    +FCLASS=0
    ISDN = 0
    Modem Type = USB Modem
    Phone = #777
    Username = internet
    Password = internet
    stupid mode = 1

    after that i typed wvdial

    the problem is that i am getting error like the configuration file cannot identify the username,password,phone number....

    i checked the username,password, phone number in windows its the same....
    Can anyone help me in this please.

    I had configured it as
    (As root)
    wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

    And just edited Phone number as #777
    Username as internet and Password as internet
    Appended stupid mode = 1 at the end. It should work for you as well.
