    synaptic package manager issue


    Hello Forum,

    This is my first time posting, so go easy...

    First off I'm new to Ubuntu Linux and so far so great! I can't believe how long over due this was for me.. I absolutely hate Winblows!!!

    To my problem. I don't know weather or not I downloaded or installed something to cause this error??? I hope someone can help me out...

    Here is the message error I keep getting:

    I also tried running:

    Sudo get-apt clean all

    Execute this
    Code:
    sudo dpkg --configure -a
    sudo apt-get clean all
    sudo apt-get update
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    That error seems to be quite common on Ubuntu. The solution is the first command posted by Casper i.e. run Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal and enter
    Code:
    sudo dpkg --configure -a
