    Extracting drivers

I have Xubuntu 6.0.6 and my wireless NIC works great, it is a Netopia 3DReach I managed to get for free. The only problem I have is when I try to run any other linux distro, Slax, DSL etc my NIC does not work. Is there a way to extract teh driver from Ubuntu to use elsewhere? The NIC has not been made in about 5 years so the drivers are non-existant.

i don't know if it is the right way, and maybe you already tried it, but i would look for the .ko file and try to "insmod" it in your new dist.
