    SB audigy sound card not working

    I recently installed my old SB audigy sound card into my new computer. I have both xp and ubuntu installed, and it works fine on xp but not on ubuntu, just gives off a hiss and when I try testing it just screeches at me. Completely new to ubuntu, so could someone please help.
