    CPU fan does not work

    Hello xperts,
    I have a notebook HP dv 6568se.Recently I installed Ubuntu 8.04.But today I realized that my cpu fan doesn't work.Is there any way to run it?it is a big issue for me cause I use this laptop everyday by average 12/15 hrs.
    Please reply if you know the way.

    Unfortunately that seems like a hardware problem rather than ubuntu you are gonna have to get it checked by a technician maybe get the fan replaced or clean the dust on the fan good luck

    I had a sony laptop once wouldn't run the fan under linux but would when i booted windows , try going back to see if thats the prob, but i think scrarfussi is right more likley a hardware problem.
