    Exclamation Need Help Installing Linux.

    I need help installing Ubuntu.
I download Ubuntu off Download Ubuntu | Ubuntu
I burned It onto a Disk using Recod Now
I put the disk into my computer
I booted my computer from the DVD
    There were 4 options
    1) Try Ubuntu without changing anything on your computer
    2) Install Ubuntu
    3) Check CD (To make sure it's not corrupted or anything)
    4) Boot from first hard drive disk
I tried all options except 4
    1) Some long error message; failed things, not excepting USB
    2) Some long error message; failed things, not excepting USB
    3) Nothing was wrong with the disk
    4) Didn't try
As you can see none of these options worked
I do wait until each option is done it says take dask out and press enter to continue. I take the task out however when I press enter nothing happends so I unplug and plug my computer back in.
Now when I take the disk out and not boot from it; Windows is not working, but getting windows to work isn't really that important to me
    What should I do now?
Also I never tried to run anything from the .exe thing that you could do instead of booting from the disk. This is no longer an option though because Windows is no longer working.

If you want to install and not try it I would recommend trying the alternative cd instead (it isn't a live distro so you can't boot from cd, it's just an install like Windows does). You can also try waiting until Thursday when Intrepid is released or try Gutsy (7.10) -- I'm assuming you downloaded Hardy Heron (8.04)
    Bodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17
Dell Studio 17, Intel Graphics card, 4 gigs of RAM, E17
