I have Ubuntu on my laptop, and use modem USB Tmobile E220 huawei to connect to internet. But I failed anyway.
when I type command "wvdialconf", show like this

Found a modem on /dev/ttyUSB0.
Modem configuration written to /etc/wvdial.conf.

So all know, this is a cellular phone connected to T-mobile service. *99# is the dial code to T-mobile's Internet service that takes minutes off your plan... The unlimited plan number is *99***2# (last I checked).
If you're connecting then it's dropping, it sounds like a authentication error on their end. I'd consult T-mobile's customer service to make sure your settings are correct and your service is built correctly. We want to make sure the problem really is on your end and not their's before we go ballistic here.
