Turn off Notifaction for Certain Software
Hi All,
I just manually installed a piece of software that is in the repos but that version isn't patched so it's slightly non functional for me. Now that I have it installed I keep getting the update manager notification telling me that there is an update for that software (tried installing it and it screwed it back up), so, how do I go about turning off the notification for certain software. I unchecked the box and that didn't do anything. Thanks allBodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17

I'm a KDE user, so forgive me if this is rusty.
I'm assuming you're on GNOME.
if you go into Synaptics, and find your software, you can right click and click "Lock Version".
It will prevent any future upgrades for that piece of software.
