    Video programs

    Hi I'm new to Linux, I have Ubuntu 8.04 and its ona windows Vista computer, Ubuntu is the only O/S on the hard drive and I need the Radeon on board video drivers for the Integrated 200 express, When I download the driver file from AMD, which program do I open it with?

    Go to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers and let it install the drivers it tells you.
    You must be connected to the Internet for this to work.

    If it doesn't find anything and/or want to use the file you downloaded from ATI do the following (from the ATI manual):
    1 Launch the Terminal Application/Window and navigate to the ATI Propri-
    etary Linux driver download.
    2 Enter the command
    Code:
    sh ./ati-driver-installer-8-10-x86.x86_64.run
    to launch the
    ATI Proprietary Linux driver installer.

    Thanks I have drivers on teh Ubuntu Hard drive I wrote the insturctions down I'll try it tomorrow and get back with you

    1280x1078 res is just too small fro my old eyes LOL
