    I have an Asrock motheroard and I have tried to install ubuntu on it in vain. it always finds an error when performing disk check.

    It's an asrock core 2 duo. help

    Are you sure the CD/DVD Drive is not defective, the MOBO doesn't have anything to do with disk checks, unless it has a bad CPU or something.

    I did another check on a different machine, it did not show any errors. Do you have any specifics for the Asrock motherboard? It also had the same problem when I tried to install Knoppix, but installed fedora just fine.

    I don't have any specifics for the motherboard, but I'm sure a quick google search can find what you need. The Motherboard manufacturer is another good place to look.
