    Looking for IP posting software

Due to our remote location, we have satellite Internet at the house. They only support DHCP addressing, so our public IP is somewhat random. Under W* I have a method of the system determining the public IP and emailing it to my office address so I can adjust either my Terminal Server Client under Linux, or UltraVNC under W* to the correct IP to login. I have been unable to locate a Linux program that would do the same thing for me. Could some kind soul point this appreciative Linux user in the right direction?
    Thanks in Advance.

Sorry that I can't recommend any specific apps for your purpose, but you can find a database of Linux apps at the following two links:

The table of equivalents / replacements / analogs of Windows software in Linux. (Official site of the table)

Linux App Finder | Helping find the Linux apps you need

Perhaps one or both of them will have an option that will work for you.

If not, maybe someone else will respond with some specific recommendations.

What you need is a Dynamic DNS updater. Linux is good for this.

Linux DNS Server - How To Set Up Static or Dynamic DNS for Your Internet Servers

About a third of the way down you start getting practical information about Dynamic DNS management.

    A quicker version:
Quick HOWTO : Ch19 : Dynamic DNS - Linux Home Networking

And finally, a popular free Dynamic DNS hosting service:
DynDNS.com - Services -- Free Dynamic DNS (DDNS) Service
