Intel Pro / Wireless 2011B LAN PC Card

    Hi all,

I just installed Kubuntu on my laptop which has a Intel Pro / Wireless 2011B LAN PC Card. This laptop cannot go on the internet without this card as the ethernet port is broken. Is there a way to install this card on this laptop?

    Thanks.

Ohhh, I'm not sure. I believe that card requires firmware, which can't be included on the CD for legal reasons, it's typically downloaded and installed via a script.

Do you have the Windows drivers? We might be able to do a work-around with the NDIS-wrapper.

Could you post the output of lspci | grep -i ethernet so we can be sure what we're dealing with? Thanks.

The output of lspci | grep -i ethernet is:

    twinkle@Kubuntu-Laptop:~$ lspci | grep -i ethernet
00:09.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82557/8/9/0/1 Ethernet Pro 100 (rev 09)

I have some of the windows drivers that I have downloaded from the internet...
