    Share Amarok MySQL Kubuntu/Ubuntu

    Hi All,

I'm dual booting Kubuntu and Ubuntu (trying to get a feel for KDE 4.2) and I want to share my MySqL file between Kubuntu and Ubuntu for amarok 2. Is there any way to do this? I don't even know where the file is. Everyone says it's in my home folders but I don't think it is, I think it's in /etc or /usr but can't find it. Thanks all

    I think it's usually in ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok

It was definitely in the equivalent location for Amarok 1.x. Also Amarok 2 can only use the built in mysql embedded and so does not run as a full server...it is not system wide and is specific to your user.

If your UID is the same for both installation you can probably just link the whole .kde4 directory from one to the other to ensure that they are the same at all times, for all kde4 apps.
