Where do i get wifi drivers for ubuntu 8.10?
Hello
I am Abhaas. I am a newbie at using linux. I have started off with, using Ubuntu 8.10 and i am unable to get drivers for my D-link wifi its product no. is IWA110EU.....A1G, its serial no. is P1F0185012599 and also its its model no. is DWA-110.
If any one can tell where can i get the drivers of the above mentioned wifi it will be a great help and also sugeest a way to install it in ubuntu since i am a newbie i hardly know anything in linux. Thanks for the great help.

I am a newbie aswell and I was having problems with wifi also
I found answers in ubuntu forums.

I found this forum by googling 'ubuntu on [my laptop model]' and it found me complete 'how to' on ubuntu instalation on my laptop.you can try that aswell.

You could start with having a look at this sticky thread.
Post the output of the commands here and someone is probably able to give you the answers you need.

Go to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers and let it install the drivers it tells you. You must be connected to the internet (through ethernet obviously) for it to download the drivers and install them.
If it doesn't find any drivers for the wireless, follow the above specified threads.
