Angry almost all 3-D games are not working right ...

I cannot seem to figure out why almost any 3-D game I try and play does not show up right. I downloaded Neverputt and Neverball and when I set it for Full Screen mode I only get half of the screen showing, the rest is blank. Trackballs and Urban Terror will not even show up. I get sound but no video, my monitor gives me the error message "out of range" but I can still click on menu items and have sound. The only thing I can think of that would do this is my SLI setup. I downloaded the latest system updates. I have also downloaded the latest GLX driver using Envy. And I have already tried disabling Compiz-Fusion. Otherwise I am running a 1.8 Ghz core2 oc'd to 3.0 ghz and 2 7600gt's in SLI. 2 Gigs of DRR2 800. HELP!

I would very strongly suggest you never use Envy. It has a tendency to completely ruin a perfectly good system install and render it almost impossible for you to undo the damage. If you're using Ubuntu, you can install proper 3D drivers as simply as launching the "Hardware Drivers" application in your System menu. Try that, and if it won't install because of something Envy borked, post back and we'll try to fix it.

Personally I have never ran into any issues using Envy before. Just for quite a while now no matter what driver I intsall for my 7600 GT's I cannot get my favorite games to play. Its just driving me mad. Maybe it could be the Envy core. But, the crazy part of it is when I did the system driver download it still came up with the issue. Even after adjusting for SLI and stuff.

When you run the driver install, do you see any error messages? Have you tried installing it manually?
