- 02-09-2009 #2I just had a very similar error with SUSE 11, I solved it by editing my kernel line in /boot/grub/grub.conf and changing /dev/disk/by-uuid/d825128a-fcf9-42f1-8a4e-ac3559968b09 to /dev/sda11 which is my SUSE /boot partition.ALERT /dev/disk/by-uuid/d825128a-fcf9-42f1-8a4e-ac3559968b09 does not exist dropping to a shell!
You may need to edit /boot/grub/menu.lst instead of grub.conf and you need to know what the actual /dev/sdaX partition is before you do this.
Let us know if this helps any or if you just want to discuss it more.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
