    Superuser

I have been attempting to run the ATI Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit driver unfortunately it asked for me to run it as super user after the command's have been completed. i ahve attempted to type "sudo" to no avail, i understand that this will be incorrect.

Can anyone tell me how I cna run this installer (.run) to as a superuser so I cna have full benefit of my 4850?

    Thanks

    Colin

please post the terminal output when you're trying to run the program. Also, when you do sudo are you doing

sudo .... (... being the command that you're running?) if you just do "sudo" with nothing else you aren't actually telling the computer to do anything

    Execute this way :
    Code:
    sudo <filename.run>
It will ask for password. Type correct password and hit Enter key. Nothing will appear on screen while typing password, not even '******'.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
