It is now called "Compiz-Fusion" and it has many effects like cube/sphere, fire, rain, wobbling windows,etc... First you need to install the properietary driver if you have ATI or Nvidia. With Intel effects should be enabled out of the box. Go to System->Administration->Hardware Drivers. Let it download (you must be connected to the Internet) & install the drivers it tells you.
Then you must install compizconfig-settings-manager to configure what effects you want. Open a terminal (Applications->Accessories). Type:
The first 2 commands will update ALL your programs with patches or newer versions.Code:sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
Compizconfig can be found after the installation, under System->Preferences.

i got it but for some reason the timing is bad, say if i drag some thing to the other wall, my screen starts rotating like crazy lol and i don't have the cube, i really want it lol. i don't know why

Do you have the Cube or the "Desktop Wall" enabled?
You 'll get the hang of it very soon. For the cube you can hold the middle mouse button pressed and move it. Or ctrl+alt+left click. To drag from one desktop to another press super+E. It is the "expose" effect if I remember correctly.

Under the "General Options" Section click the "Desktop Size" tab and increase the "Horizontal Virtual Size" to 4

My new blog. It's probably not as good as I think it is.

It should be under the compiz settings manager (Advanced Desktop Effects Settings)
