    run a script when a new package is installed

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a way to run a python script automatically when apt-get is used to install or upgrade a package.
    The script should get the package name and version as arguments.
    Is this possible?

    You may want to move this over to the linux programming and scripting section. I'm sure it's possible but I have no clue how to do it
