For sure it will, although if it isn't in the ubuntu repos then you'll have to compile it yourself or find a pre-made package from somewhere else.

Stop Cousinlucky. Open synaptic and install seamonkey from there. Or use Add Remove Programs. Its Under Applications in top l/h of Taskbar.

I download the tar.gz files of both rkhunter and seamonkey to my Ubuntu desktop. I came back to linuxforums to see if I could find a thread about installing these types of files in Ubuntu.

Ok, in my view from here you are kinda putting the cart before the horse. You need to update your install before you start installing targz.

As a example here is my software sources list with a few lines edited out so you don't install lxde desktop or something else you don't wanr or need.
