    ubuntu is loading very slow

    alright
    so i installed ubuntu on my laptop two days ago and now i'm facing some horrible problems
    first of all my computer is lagging but firefox is not loading any faster than a turtle on a bad day.
    my laptop is not so bad, i have a inspiron 6000 at 1.86Ghz with 2Gb of ram and decent graphic card by ati.
    what can the issue be?

    df -h
sudo lspci | grep -i vga
grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    Post output here.

    While bootin switch to 1st virtual terminal
    CTRL+ALT+F1
    Check for errors and hang ups.

    You can also take out the "quite" kernel boot peremeter
    Never make any misteaks.
