Firefox Bug
Hi All,
I'll try to make this long story short....
My firefox had been screwed up for awhile (when I put something in the address bar it wouldn't google search it like I wanted it to). So this morning I decide to delete my firefox settings in my home folder and to uninstall/reinstall firefox.
I do this and realize all my bookmarks are gone. I then go to my backup of my home folder and pull out my bookmarks. Replace the one in firefox, still nothing. I check the backup and see that although the backup bookmark folders is right the main HTML is wrong, it has nothing that I've bookmarked which is strange because previous to this morning all my bookmarks showed up.
So I start manually adding bookmarks that are from my backup bookmarks folder. Something goes wrong (not sure what, can't remember). I delete the firefox folder again in my home folder to start from scratch. I then try to startup firefox and it gives me the error about
Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.
So I terminal killall firefox, says nothing is running. Restart my computer, same error comes up. Finally I just format the partition and start from scratch....ERROR STILL COMES UP!
At this point I'm pretty frustrated. I don't get how removing my settings in the home folder & formatting the root partition and reinstalling Ubuntu wouldn't solve this problem. Any ideas? I'm using seamonkey right now but much prefer firefox. Thanks allBodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17
