network-manager changes my WEP key :(
Hi all,
I'm using gnome-network-manager to connect to Internet and there are 2 wireless connections in my school, one has an hexadecimal key and I can connect with no problem (if i write in lowercase, don't ask me why), the other has a key with words (like "ilikeapples"). The problem with this second network is that when I enter "ilikeapples" on the WEP password field it changes it to an hexadecimal key and then I can't connect
. I read that Wicd doesn't does that, but I can't use it since it doesn't support PPPoE and my wired network at home is on PPPoE.
Oh yeah I forgot. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 )I dont know if the wireless card details are important) and I'm using ndiswrapper for my Broadcom Wireless card
