Ubuntu 8.10 install error
Hi everyone, I'm just starting out to be a Linux user and already encountered a problem.When installing Ubuntu I get a "timezone not working" problem.My computer has Vista in it.The installation goes fine until it reaches the language option, I choose English, click next then wait some time the I get that error.

Hi and Welcome !
It looks like problem is in Installation Media only. Is LiveCD working fine? Did you download .iso image and burn it to CD yourself?It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

yes I did download and burn the ISO.I also did the disk checking option on the Ubuntu start screen and there was nothing wrong. My laptop is a Asus M50VM series
using Vista Home Premium.
