    Remove VirtualBox?

    Hi All,
    I installed VirtualBox from the website instead of OSE from the repo. I can't figure out how to remove it....any idead? I have tried synaptic and came up with nothing. Thanks all
    Bodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17

    did you install from a .deb a .run or from source code? ... which section did you download from? and which version did you install?

    it was a deb which makes it even weirder that it's not in synaptic and when I try to do sudo apt-get remove VirtualBox it says no installed (but I can run VirtualBox by typing in just that in terminal)

    try sudo apt-get remove virtuanbox 2.1.4 or 2.1.2

    does dpkg -l | grep virtualbox list anything useful?

    I have installed it using .run , so how can i uninstall it?

    Have you checked to see if the .run script that installed it might have an "uninstall" option? If not, then check on the Sun/VirtualBox web site for help with this. I always use the .rpm or .deb files to install (depending upon the platform) so the package manager can uninstall it later.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
