    Only the top half of the screen shows.

    I just got my Kubuntu version of Linux in the mail today and I was stoked. I've been wanting Linux forever, etc etc etc.

    Anyways. I boot the CD and only the top half of the screen shows. What gives?

    Which Graphics Card do you have? Have you tried Failsafe or Safe Graphics Mode?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
