    [SOLVED] Volume Controls

This has never happened to me before but i did a fresh install today and my media controls and the volume bar on the top right all are controlling my PCM instead of Master....how can I switch it back? It's a bit annoying having to run:

    alsamixer -Dhw

every time I want to adjust my master volume

    Thanks all

You need to go to System ->Preferences -> Sound and select "Playback:......." as the device for default mixer tracks. Next select "Master" from the list that appears at the bottom of the window.
